Certified Integral Sound Therapist

After many months of hard work I am pleased to announce that I am now certified in Integral Sound Therapy. I look forward to incorporating this into the final relaxation part of my 90 minute Hatha yoga sessions.

Integral Sound Healing draws on ancient wisdom, modern scientific research and intuitive guidance to offer a holistic approach to healing, balancing mind, body, soul and spirit. Integral sound healing combines elements of traditional sound healing with a broader approach that integrates various aspects of life. It is based on the belief that sound vibrations can harmonize and balance the body, mind and spirit.

Each aspect of our beings, including our physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and soul aspects has a unique resonance, or rate of vibration. Optimum health occurs when we are vibrating in harmony at our natural, inherent resonant frequency. Physical, emotional, and spiritual events can take their toll on these optimal frequencies. When one of these resonant frequencies begins to vibrate out of sync, dis-ease or ill health occurs. When this happens, an imbalanced sound pattern or vibration has been established within one or more levels of our being.

Sound healing instruments generate sound waves which create this resonance effect across a wide spectrum of body tissue.  This makes Integral Sound Healing so unique and effective. As sound waves penetrate to the cellular level, each cell is brought back to equilibrium. This, in turn, leads the body to accelerate its natural healing abilities.

Integral sound healing looks beneath the symptoms of ill health to the root causes which may stem from suppressed emotions such as unexpressed grief or unresolved trauma – even going back to birth. These are often stored in the body and can lead to energetic blocks in the body. When the root cause is integrated, energy begins to flow again, and the body’s natural healing mechanisms are activated. Sound healing simply facilitates the process. The body does the healing.
